The WADDI art gallery in Inman Park, in collaboration with Welcoming America, presents HERE & NOW, a group exhibition of US-based, immigrant artists, Sep 16 - Oct 15, 2021
The exhibition features Chinese-born, Clayton, Georgia based artist Xie Caomin, photographer Hector Amador and artist/activist Yehimi Cambrón, both from Mexico and locally based, and four English artists: Atantans Ruby Franklin and Ruth Franklin, Yorkshire-born/Chicago-based Michael Jackson, and Londoner-turned-New-Yorker, Kosmo Vinyl. The show was curated quickly by Shawn Vinson when he was contacted by the folks at Welcoming America to inquire about hosting their annual Welcoming Week celebration at The WADDI. The four artists from England are already on his gallery roster, and he was delighted that Xie, Yehimi and Hector all chose to exhibit as well.
