Shawn Vinson is an Atlanta-based art dealer and gallerist with more than three decades of experience exhibiting contemporary and outsider art. Through VINSONart, he helps private collectors, businesses, and healthcare organizations find art that suits their spaces and interests, offering personalized advice, on-location presentations, and private viewings at The Sun ATL.
VINSONart specializes in paintings, works on paper, photography, and sculpture by local and internationally recognized artists. Its home, The Sun ATL, opened in 2025 in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward, near The King Center. The two-story gallery brings together exhibitions, cultural programming, and space for private gatherings, meetings, and film productions.
Vinson has co-founded four galleries and produced numerous pop-up exhibitions, beginning with Art, Arte, Kunst during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He opened Vinson Gallery, Decatur's first contemporary art gallery, in 1998 and operated it through 2008. His work later expanded to healthcare art procurement and cleared artwork for Georgia film and television productions. He founded Different Trains Gallery in Decatur in 2017, operating it through August 2026, and served as gallery director of The WADDI in Inman Park from 2020 to 2022.
