The gallery's exhibition, "The Art of Math," showcases sculptures by G4G-community artists Dick Esterle, Chaim Goodman-Strauss, George Hart, Akio Hizume, Bjarne Jespersen, Rinus Roelofs and Eugene Sargent - some created at past G4G events in Atlanta. The show also includes prints by MC Escher and contemporary works by Atlanta-based artists Christopher Paul Dean and Ato Ribeiro.
Proceeds will support the G4G Foundation, an educational non-profit that stimulates curiosity and the playful exchange of ideas in recreational math, magic, science, literature, and puzzles. Founded by the late Tom Rodgers (Atlanta native, Emory alumnus, and renowned puzzle collector), G4G preserves and extends the legacy of writer and polymath Martin Gardner, who is celebrated for popularizing recreational mathematics and bringing delightful mathematical concepts to both laypeople and professionals.
