From May 22 - July 26, The Sun ATL presents a landmark exhibition featuring photographers Jim Alexander and Sue Ross documenting five decades of Black musical excellence. Alexander - celebrating his 90th birthday in August, and mentored by Gordon Parks - and Ross have captured pivotal moments in Atlanta's musical history. Their work reveals the profound connection between Black music and cultural resilience.

The King Historic District welcomes two groundbreaking art spaces, One Contemporary Gallery and The Sun ATL, expanding the neighborhood's vibrant artistic landscape in the Old Fourth Ward. The galleries will host a four-day celebration, beginning with a public grand opening reception on Friday, January 17, from 5 to 8 pm.

An exhibition of photography by Jim Alexander and Carlos York, celebrating Black culture and human rights, in conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography, curated by Shawn Vinson and presented by VINSONart and Hagan Arts at the WADDI art gallery in Inman Park.
