Ruby Franklin graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Savannah College of Art & Design in 2011, with a BFA in Painting, She then moved to Amsterdam and continued painting in a private studio provided by a generous patron. Much of her work is inspired by and based on the people of the South, which she began to miss significantly while living abroad. After a year in the Netherlands, Ruby returned to Atlanta and her studio in Decatur.
